An excellent opportunity for students can now study in China or Korea on scholarships. The deadline for submission of the application is 11 March, 2016.
Ministry of Human Resource, India has invited online applications for Chinese and Korean Government scholarships. For the Korean government scholarships, the Indian government will be sending 16 nominations, out of which 8 will be finalised by the Korean government. Applicants should be under 40 years of age and should possess a bachelor’s or a master’s degree. The subjects, in which the scholarships are offered in, are Korean language, International Relations, Bio-technology and Electronic engineering.
For the candidates, who wish to pursue their higher studies in China, scholarships are available in a variety of subjects. Those include – Chinese Language and Literature, Management, Fine Arts (Painting and Sculpture), Agriculture, Sericulture, Biology, Political Science/International relations, Electronics, Electricals, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry Civil Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy. The criterion for different programmes is different. For undergraduate programs, applicant must be a high school graduate under the age of 25. For master’s programs, applicant must be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35.
For doctoral programs, applicant must be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40. For General Scholar program, applicant must be under the age of 45 and have completed at least two years of undergraduate study. For Senior Scholar programs, the applicant must be master’s degree holder or an associate professor under the age of 50. In all the required qualifications, applicants should have attained at least 60 per cent marks.
This will certainly turn out to be an excellent opportunity for the students.
