Women Who Inspire: Gagandeep Kaur

Ghar Ka Khana- A mouth-watering story of success

GagandeepGagandeep’s success story is one sumptuous and delectable journey to look upto. She, along with her mother, Jaswinder Kaur, runs a tiffin service Ghar Ka Khaana Tiffin Service, which is leaving Chandigarh spell bound in its appetizing aroma and flavours.

Back in 2010, when Gagandeep lost her father, the urge to keep her mother engaged in what she loved doing the most, cooking, led her to start the venture. This, along with, the presence of apparent demand of healthy and reasonably priced meals among the students in paying guest accomodations, single women/men and young working couples strengthened her resolve. Her enterprise started with five tiffins and today it has grown into a big fish in the home-catering business, + delivering 350 tiffins a day.ghar-ka-khana-1

Gagandeep’s ingenious entrepreneurial skills are the secret ingredients in her success. She does not resort to any advertising and marketing tool, but always relies on word of mouth. Now, armed with confidence and experience at her disposal, she is ready to take her venture to its next deserving level. ‘Everything is difficult before it is easy and we should knock each and every door’ is her mantra. She envisions her enterprise to be to spread to as far as NCR region and Jaipur in the next five years.
