‘Trucking Cube’, an innovation in the packing and moving industry, introduced by the Agarwal Movers and Packers Limited group will deploy 500 Trucks owned by ex-army personnel in their fleet. It will enable the ex-servicemen to be entrepreneurs earning a minimum income of INR 50,000 per month.
Agarwal Packers and Movers Limited (APML) has previously made its mark in Indian industry with its out-of-box thinking for providing quality service and customer delight. APML has been in the logistics space since the last 28 years. In the year 2015-16, the brand has moved 85,000 homes locally and 1000 internationally. Over the years, AMPL has emerged as India’s largest mover of household goods & is also recognized by Limca book of Records for four consecutive years from 2012-2015.
APML group had earlier announced that they would invest 100 crores (USD 15 million) in Trucking Cube, which would cement their leadership in the household & commercial relocations with a ‘Zero Loss Zero Damage’ guarantee. The APML started the ‘Trucking Cube’ initiative in July 2015 and as a major showcase of ‘Make in India’ Campaign have proposed this innovative scheme for ex-sevicemen.
According to Mr. Ramesh Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director Agarwal Movers Group, “The ex-servicemen are trained to run operations and are coached on the latest technology advances allowing them to be an entrepreneur. Owning a truck will allow the ex-serviceman to be a part of the ‘start-up’ culture & help them contribute productively to the logistics industry, which is the very DNA of a country’s infrastructure framework.” Hence, he has made an appeal to the armed forces to make the trucks affordable for the ex-servicemen by providing them an excise exemption.
